Hiding in the snow for an hour and a half at Sullivan Lake tested my ability to contain my excitement as I witnessed Seth drop to one knee, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Not only did I get to work on my camouflage shelter-building skills, but I also got to watch two of the sweetest friends jump into a lifetime together! The shock on Kayla’s face was well worth it. Seth was so thoughtful and went shopping for the beautiful dress Kayla is wearing, so she would have something other than hiking clothes to wear for our engagement session afterward. Seth even spent weeks hand-carving and creating her beautiful ring box from scratch! Seriously the sweetest thing ever!
Sullivan Lake is such a gorgeous location for proposals, engagement photos, family photos.. really anything you can think of! Located only 16 miles south of the Candian border, the views are truly spectacular! This lake is surrounded by gorgeous mountains and trees. It’s roughly a 2-hour drive from Spokane and Coeur d’Alene and I promise it is worth it!
This is the perfect spot for any adventurous couple! There are three different campgrounds at Sullivan Lake: West Sullivan Campground, East Sullivan Lake Campground, and Noisy Creek Campground.
Sullivan Lake is beautiful during any season! I feel like a lot of couples and families don’t take photos during the winter but the views are just as magical!
So what are you waiting for? Grab your loved one, a cute outfit and some camping gear to get those perfect photos!
